No we do not play sports at the Grill.
I never checked out the rear parking lot. I drive by regularly, I will take a look, next time. I haul trailers and equipment a lot, so this is a good question.
Not to impressed
We were there last night. They had posted signs that they are closed Easter.
Very bland food. The fried chicken looked like they just coated it in flour and threw it in the fryer. No love in the food at all. And the service was not great, very slow. Not planning on returning
Really good food and service!! All you can eat fish on Friday, YUM YUM
We had a superb in this spot. We liked the fantastic vibes and the meals. The staff are very personal. I am content we finally managed to visit this place.
It was very disappointing. We stopped when it first opened when traveling through, and it was delicious. This visit was very different. The fries were greasy, the pulled pork tasted old and like lighter fluid..couldn't eat it. The iced tea was cloudy. The place could use a good cleaning.
Awesome food… even better server… not much on atmosphere… but a great little diner!
Great food. Lots of options on the menu. Small bar. Homespun feel. Clean. Service can be slow.
Visited on a Saturday morning. It was okay. Pork products tasted a little funky, but we were fine. Sorry, cant lie here, funky is the word.
Fast service, friendly, quaint, old timey diner feel, popular. People all seem to know each other.Food is decent, french fries limp though. Strong coffee. Pies look fresh. Not a place for health food.
Really good food and love the decor prices are affordable very nice people will be back
Stopped by on our way back to Delaware from WV. Food was delicious and staff was awesome - took very good care of us, had manners (super important to me), helped each other out - which was nice to see. We will be returning when we pick our pups up from training :)
March 23, 2018 Driven past many times on our way to VA Beach. Finally the time was right to stop for dinner. Really good home cooked food in a cozy place. Great French fries. Good selection of comfort food and friendly service. Update: Stopped for lunch Aug.15 for lunch. We had a bbq brisket sandwich and a mushroom Swiss burger. Both were very good as was the service.
This is a real gem for good cooking, diner style atmosphere with a small bar seating and comfy tables and booths. I had terrific liver and onions with delicious mashed potatoes and gravy, price was so low I could hardly believe it. Desserts sounded great but the meal left no room! They raise their own Angus beef, no hormones, and have a nice selection of steak dinners and burgers. If you're driving past Hancock MD on I70 don't bother to look for someplace else, this is your dining destination!
Tasty food, great service, good portions, very reasonably-priced, all in classic diner-style decor. You can't go wrong. Highly recommend, and right across from the Hancock Motel, a great place to stay. We found both by happenstance and they were the highlights of the trip.
Me and my husband have been there a few times. The last time was about 3 months ago, food was delicious and service was great. Then tonight happened, we went in after my daughters football game, the three of us. Our server got our drinks for us, took our order pretty quickly. We waited 30 minutes for a bowl of chicken noodle soup, then we waited another 30 minutes for a hot turkey sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich. The server would disappear for 10 minutes at a time in the kitchen more than once while we waited for our food. When it finally came out, my daughter said her sandwich tasted funny (pulled pork) I tried it and it was definitely spoiled!! My husband's turkey tasted like metallic, my daughter also said it tasted funny, she's 9!! I heard the server tell someone that we said the food wasn't good, she told her she was gonna throw it out. Guess we weren't the only ones who said that today. We will never eat there again!
This little gem serves outstanding home-style cooking. Inexpensive, clean, very friendly staff, and some of the best fried chicken I've ever had in my life.
Little locals place. All the meats come from the owner's farm. Freshest liver and onions I've EVER had. We'll be using this place as a rest stop for lunch when we drive from VA on our way to visit family in PA from now on.
Wonderful food. Staff was very nice. I will most definitely come back if I'm in town again
Quaint, the servers were very nice and the food was amazing. You will like it there if you visit.
Took an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. Fries were soggy and greasy, the place is very dirty. The help was not personable or courteous as described in other reviews. I suspect 5 star ratings were made by staff and ownership. Our table was balanced by dozens of sugar packets. The glass globe on the light above our heads was shattered and had shards waiting to fall in our food. I could go on...
Good food, service, and prices!
Great little spot to stop. Food was good. Portions are huge. They have something for everyone. DEFINITELY a family favorite when traveling.
This was the first time we've been to Potomac River Grill. The meal was very good and the service was great. My wife, my daughter and I had the pulled pork dinner. We plan to go back in the future. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Last week was our first time we went to this good restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the generous service, with the first-rate dishes and wine and with the comfortable pay. We will no doubt return there in a short time.
I had the beef pit sandwich and it was amazing. Simple sandwich but the beef was local and slow cooked in house and spoke for itself. Highly recommend any of the beef options (burgers too) cause they use the local beef and it's fresh and delicious 🐄🐄🐄🐄
This one of the better restaurants near Berkeley springs! Good home cooked food. Great prices too!
Love this place but they have to do something about the flies.
Excellent meal and service. Great homemade food. Will definitely be back!
the past 4 months this place has gone down hill. my friend and i use to go all the time until the food started being burnt, or not done well. my friend now has food poisoning. the eggs the past time were not done, the hash browns were burnt, bacon tasted old and had a metallic taste, and the messed up the order. we will not be going back and the pictures of the burnt food and everything will be posted everywhere. get a grip!!!!!
I had an awesome experience at this spot. We enjoyed the amazing ambience and the meals. The staff are super personal. I’m happy we ultimately decided to visit this restaurant.
The food was good the portions were great. The atmosphere was down home, the service was good. If your in that area it's a good find. Found it driving through.
Great steak and eggs. Great staff. They make you feel like a local, long time customer. I look forward to trying out the rest of the menu.
Super friendly staff, great food! Will definitely stop here next time I'm in town!
Stopped for breakfast. Nice server. Good country diner atmosphere. Terrible, undercooked, dry grits. They comped after we pointed out the problem. But home fries were no better. Just shaved potatoes tossed in oil.
Had a wonderful breakfast at Potomac Grill over the bridge in Hancock, Maryland this morning. I can see what this place gets so much business for breakfast. Great big platter with 2 eggs, biscuits, really good fresh potatoes, bacon. I wished I'd taken pictures of it but I was too hungry. So, I just took pics of the inside. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. They mostly serve sandwiches for lunch. The parking is flat and pretty level. They have an enclosed front porch type attachment and also the main dining. No step ups. Easy access.
